We are announcing the Third Cyber Security Delegation to the European Union (EU) at Brussels, Belgium from May 25th – May 29th, 2020. The Delegation will involve 20 Senior Executives and Board Members.
The delegation program is tailored to learn about the Cyber Security and Privacy initiatives along with the changes in global political, economic, and technological developments coming out of Europe.
This program offers Senior Executives and Board Members the unique opportunity to learn experientially about European perspective regarding cyber security, privacy and digital ethics. Delegates will get to understand the workings of EU organizations and regulatory bodies.
AICL Delegation will meet with different European Agencies including EU Parliament, EU Council, European Commission, European Data Protection Supervisor, European Economic and Social Committee (developing information society), and Committee of the Regions.
Delegates will interact with EU executives and regulators to get first hand exposure in dealing with EU regulations. Such experience is considered valuable given the impact of General Data Protection Regulation on U.S. companies.
The Delegation will also visit Hague - the City of Peace, Justice & Security. The delegation will be hosted by International Criminal Court and will get to interact with Europol’s European Cybercrime Centre to learn about their response to cybercrime.
The delegates will get to interact with scientists as well as satellites and get behind the scene tour of space agency workings with particular emphasis on cyber operations. This will provide cutting edge exposure to an intriguing 21st century domain of securing cyber space.
AICL is coordinating with NATO to facilitate delegation visit to new NATO Headquarters at Brussels. The delegates will get an opportunity to know about NATO's cybersecurity efforts and strategy to fight emergent cyber threats.
All delegates will have access to participate in 2019 Digital Ethics & ePrivacy Summit. The Summit brings together experts in ePrivacy, Digital Ethics and Cybersecurity to discuss current challenges to information society from a global perspective.
